inspiration (81)      life (68)      love (23)      gratitude (16)
I was thinking about the 28 articles I have written on My Inspired Life.

Like water, inspiration flows!

They flow easily from me when inspiration strikes, coming from my soul and my heart where my life's lessons are imprinted and on any given day I am driven to write them.

I write to share with you in the hope that something will inspire you, and help you on your life's journey. I want you to realize that in this life you live - you are wonderful, loving, giving, unique and need to be a friend to yourself, and that you can change things.

You are worth all the effort!

Let's face it - life can be hard, rewarding, exhilarating, challenging, adventurous, monotonous, depressing, happy, fun, sharing, giving, and a host of things that sometimes don't quite cut it, or can put you over the top with joy. There are other things that make you want to bury your head in your pillow or fly out of bed each day and meet it head on, just for the thrill of living a life the way you want it to be.

I assume that you read My Inspired Life to look for something to help ease what you just can't get a handle on. Or perhaps, you just need to know you are not the only one who gets stuck in the mud, or who needs a few words of encouragement to keep you afloat when the world threatens to swallow you. We all need that at one time or another.

Sometimes you need a hand out of the mud!

It was something left out of my life when I was growing up as a child of alcoholic parents, where life was lonely, confusing and scary.

Life can get lonely - we are here for you!

My parents were not abusive, just absent, and that was torture. Left to my own devices I formed some interesting opinions and ideas of what life should be like, and I wondered what was wrong with me. I had great escapist tendencies and buried my head in fiction books and movies, anything to not live in the life that I was dealt.

There were things that happened to me, that left me broken, times when I felt I had no tools to keep going. I was ashamed and could not tell my parents that our neighbor abused me at the age of 5.

I tell you these things so that you will understand where I write from and to show you that you can overcome everything if you have the right tools and the courage to keep going. With a wonderful husband and kids by my side I am grateful every day for what I have and what I have learned.

When you need a hand!

It took too long to realize my parents were kind, generous, and always gave of the little they had. Once I grew up I could see past my pain and forgive them, as they did the best they knew how. I choose to take responsibility for my life and I choose to be happy and grateful for every day.

Lots of love to you on your journey!

I continue to heal and find that part of my purpose is to help you along on the journey so that you can keep going, keep digging, keep finding strength and love in yourself. Life can be rewarding if you let it. The healing is up to you and I hope to give you some insights along the way. You can gain so much from it. I know I sure have. I wish you lots of love and success on your journey.
