We all need the occasional doona day. But if a doona day stretches into a week, returning to the normal rhythm of life can be challenging. Sources of Inspiration is a series of articles designed to share inspirational and motivational content from around the web. All free, and all easily available to you when you need that extra little push to get out of the front door and take on the world. This time it’s BBC’s Great Lives series.
Great Lives is a three-person biographical radio show in which a well-known guests introduces and speaks about someone from history they think has led a truly great life. It is hosted by Matthew Parris, and each episode is factually supported by an expert, who provides an extra layer of detail to the information presented by the guest. Episodes are about half an hour long, and produced in a clean, easy-to-listen-to, conversational manner.
Great Lives is a bite-sized way to learn about inspirational people from throughout history and from around the globe, with the added bonus of being co-presented by someone you’ve probably heard of. After a few episodes common themes begin to emerge, such as creativity, innovation and resilience – ideas which can inspire us all in our daily lives.
