Letting Go

On so many occasions we find ourselves crying over spilt milk. Whether it's a missed train, losing something or broken china, our negative reactions will impact those around us too. This sort of tension can be an obstacle to enjoying moments with loved ones. Finding techniques to help you let go is therefore great for creating positivity where it would otherwise be absent. Once you let go of the past you give your mind the room to focus on the present and focus on the positive in situations.

My special technique emerged on a holiday with a group of friends where we encountered a number of hidden expenses and unexpected problems. We were so focused on having a good time that we soon adopted a phrase which elicited a spontaneous sense of freedom. (Stuff it!) It was a simple command which eliminated any obstacle between us and the happy moment we deserved. It was a reminder to us all that there was a bigger picture and we simply needed to have fun. The flights have all been cancelled? Stuff it - off to the beach we go! Lost our camera? Stuff it - we will replace it and make up for our lost pictures by having more fun and more experiences!

If anything emerged from that holiday it was that it is possible to change our perceptions which a simple command. It is like having a freedom card which never expires!
