We all go through different things in our lives. Some are brilliant and we come out on top. There are those that have adverse effects, that leave us scared, shy, hurt, indecisive, angry. Many can be life changing, we come out feeling like we have won a lottery, some are trying and you may want to throw yours arms up in the air and yell, "OK - I give Up!".
Sometimes we come out on top!
No matter what you go through you always come out on the other side. Usually you have changed somehow and you have learned something, if you are paying attention. There are those times when you feel like you have been dragged through the mud behind a team of horses. Sometimes you feel it was a dance and you can't wait for the next one to begin.
Regardless of what it was, you are changed.
Change is inevitable!
But what about the process you were in? How was it in the moment? Are you aware of how you did? Did you scream and yell at people? Were you slamming doors, running around like a chicken with its head cut off? Did you run away and hide? Or were you on top of your game, volleying back everything that was hit your way, as if you were Serena Williams of the stress world?
The thing is, we all handle things differently. Life is our evolution and we deal as we go along. We may not always be proud of the way we act in certain situations but we learn. If we are paying attention, we realize the mistakes, the way we may have treated others, so we ask for forgiveness for ourselves and from others and get on on with it.
We all handle things differently!
Not everyone will recognize where they have been, what they have learned or the mistakes they have made. They may have blamed everyone and the world for the problems they had. These people will ultimately live these same moments again and again, until they change and grow so they can carry on. They may indeed need to learn to take responsibility for themselves and their actions then they too will come out on the other side.
So no matter where you have been, what you have gone through and what your next hill to climb will look like, remember that you too can always change the way you react, how you deal with things and people, how you will handle stress and how you will come out. Because you will come out, sometimes faster than others, sometimes in a different direction but there is always the other side.
The other side can be joyful!
This is the journey that we call life. It is all encompassing, all inspiring, ever so frustrating but always a journey. Enjoy the ride!
